For one resident, fly-fishing had special memories. As he looked at the lakes on the Larksfield campus, he thought ‘Why not here?’ So he brought this idea to the staff and voila: We built a new dock, the fish are stocked, and fly-fishing is the newest resident-requested activity.

It’s this kind of ‘can-do’ attitude that makes life at Larksfield Place so rewarding. If you have an interest, we will work to make it happen for you and your neighbors.

The dawning of each day gives residents the chance to experience something new or enjoy an old favorite. It could be one of the specialty-themed dining experiences, a trip to an area attraction, an art exhibit in our own gallery or just beating a personal best in a fitness program.

A popular option is “King or Queen for a Day,” when we chauffeur a resident and three friends wherever they would like to go in a Cadillac! It’s a great chance to solidify friendships!

“It’s a wonderful relaxed way of life.  We just walk down the hall to get mail, our paper is laid at our door each morning.  We can shop at the Courtyard Market for milk and bread or a gift for someone.  Our drug store delivers our prescriptions to the front desk, the dry cleaners pick up and deliver to the front desk.  I have used my oven only 3 times!
